The Meat Science Facility comprises an 8m x 6m analytical laboratory space with a fume cupboard, two large sinks, dishwashing facilities and equipment such as MM400 Ball mill and furnace. There is ample bench space, so that researchers can bring in any equipment that is required for the duration of their studies. 

Adjacent to the analytical lab is a meat science laboratorywith bandsaw, bowl cutter, dryer and a large walk-in coldroom and freezer. The coldroom and freezer can be directly accessed from the outside of the building, via a loading dock for a coldroom trailer. 

This dedicated laboratory space is in the process of gaining SafeFood accreditation, and will allow us to provide full-circle paddock-to-plate research opportunities for our collaborators.
