Growsafe

QASP has eight Growsafe units located undercover in a paddock behind our NFAS accredited feedlot. The Growsafe system measures the feed intake and behaviour of individual animals in a non-confined environment, with no stress on the animal.

GrowSafe’s tag reading and data accuracy approaches 100% due to extensive system diagnostics. The animal’s RFID tag is read when an animal feeds at the trough and other parameters are sampled continuously. The data is automatically recorded and enables advanced behavioral analysis. The GrowSafe system offers unparalleled automation and measurement accuracy.

QASP currently subscribes to a behaviour analytics software package which includes access to:

QASP also has the capacity to mix research diets on site and deliver these to the GrowSafe with our feed mixer and tractor.
